Remember those good old days where I blogged about wacky stories? Do you? Like, I don't know... When I'm Playing? Or Story 'Bout my Ma? Those kind of stories.
Well, I've got another story! Yes, if you read the title correctly, I'm telling a story about my gaming sibling rivalry. Now, we're both older and more intelligent, so we know a bit more about games and how to play them. It was Christmas in 2012 and we had our first 3DS's and we couldn't wait to play some multiplayer games!
My sister was confident on what to pick to dominate me, Street Fighter IV! Now it was a long fight, so let's get this over with, we fought about who might win for 5 months until I got the game, and we began the competition. She won mostly until I began to learn the moves and more and finally gave her what for. Then Smash Bros came out. Something new for us to fight with. Something new to let the anger out at each other.
Since me and my sis wanted to fight each other with this God Sent game, we both got it for the following Christmas. Me and my sis looked at each other once we got them. We were both thinking the same thing: I have to learn to play this game!
This was the first time we ever played Smash Bros ever and we never really got to know how the game was played or it's mechanics, so we learned. And we began to test our moves! Just to sum it up for me, I was like this...
All I wanted to do with that DS was throw it into a fire. We literally played for 6 hours straight! It was quite a battle. And I was loosing! So after accepting my defeat, me and my little friend, the DS, went to go practice. I left my charger cord connected and practiced my skills and made sure I perfected them. I stayed up all night playing Super Smash to the point sunlight harmed my eyes! God that reminded me of the time I played for two days without eating! But that's a story for another day.
So after seeing I was overplaying, I stopped when it was 3pm. Yes... DON'T JUDGE ME!! Anyways, I heard my dad saying we were going to a friends house, which they had a WIi U... WIth Smash Bros... It was time...
As soon as we got there, I said "Start up the Wii, because I challenge you Lidia!" I can see her shrug while my friend is confused. We explain to our dear friend and went with our competition.
It was an 8 man battle, me, my sister, our friend, our friend's brother, and her dad. We all had 4 lives and we all aimed to take out the CPU's. We all had faces of fury as my sister was just playing casually.
I knew she was going down. I could foresee it! As soon as we took out the last CPU, we all stopped, looking at each other both in-game and in reality. My sister smiled calmingly while I charged and tried to take out everyone else, but her. Luckily I succeeded and had an audience to watch my sis lose. My plan was ready, we both had one life left and we were at the brink of instant ringout.
I say to her with the most glaring smile "How does it feel to lose, huh?"
She was just sitting there all causal with her gaming face. We head butt each other to the point it was a miracle if we didn't get hit for a second. Everyone in the room was glued to the screen. They saw this was an even match, but one has to leave a winner. I was hoping that would be me. As we were playing, we were hoping for the hammer to instant knockout one of us. As soon as I thought about it, it appeared. I set my attention to that hammer and we both know what's going to happen next. This was going to be the end. The time I was training myself for!
I hear footsteps in the hallway. My dad says "Hey! what's going on?" and he says it so loud since the TV was at full blast, that it startled me. I lose my attention to the screen and she gets the hammer when I'm right next to it. It was obvious who won. I lost and she beat me once again.
What? You thought this was going to end with me winning? Ha! You don't know my sis! Well, I hope you liked my little story of humiliation! And don't forget to eat your Chibi Woffles!
And 'til next time...
Play More Games! And not lose at them...
